which are the best source of inspiration for those who work hard to mark their identity, so every year the school selects few talented and extra ordinary students to honour them through awards.
Every year three awards named after three great personalities who have contributed in the upliftment of mankind are being given. These awards are divided into two categories-one is for the students and other for the teachers.
The awards given to students are BHAGAT PURAN SINGH JI award and BHAI KANHIYA JI award. Bhagat Puran Singh Ji award is given for attaining excellence in various fields. He is best remembered for the home he founded in Amritsar named 'Pingalwara' which looks after the sick, disabled and abandoned people.
Bhai Kanhiya Ji award is the next award. He is best known for his great deed of serving water to all the injured soldiers during the battle of Anandpur Sahib in 1704 without any discrimination.
The third award is MASTER TARA SINGH JI ward which the school management confers to the best teacher. Master Ji was a great scholar, Orator and a teacher. He devoted his whole life for the sole purpose of education.

The results of 2003-04 were particularly more impressive as we had 114 distinctions out of 150. Out of those one of our students named Kanika Jindal (Topper) of class XII emerged as a bright star of the school as she topped in CBSE. In 2003-04 the highest percentage was 84% in Class X and 91% I class XII. In 2004-05 the highest percentage was 84% in class X and 90% in class XII. The backbone of any school is its progress in academics. Every year the school is getting fruitful result with number of distinctions in all the subjects in the CBSE.

• Various competitive exams are conducted throughout the year to polish the skills and assess the calibre of the students. In the year 2007-08 our students appeared for various exams like Maths Olympiad, Cyber Olympiad and Green Olympiad. 110 students appeared in 3rd nationwide Math’s interactive Olympiad in which Lalit Kumar, Richa Kumar, Saurav Kumar, Nikhil Gola, Manish Choudhary ranked first and were awarded with gold Medals, All the participant were given certificates.
• Since beginning the school has been participating in events organized by Punjabi Academy. Avneet Kaur of class XII was awarded Ist position & Harmeet Kaur of class VIII got IInd position in interschool poetry competition. Every year the school sends teams to participate in Gidda, Bhangra, Folk Song and Folk Dance competitions and gets first position, even Non sikh students take active part in these activities with great zeal and enthusiasm i.e. Muskaan Nigam and Prachi Tyagi who are the finest example of this.
• Since 2001 our students have been participating in Gurmat Exam organized by Sikh Chetna Mission. Qualifying students are awarded with a scholarships of Rs. 1200/- annually. To name a few those won cash prize also–

• Every year Mata Sundari College for Women Delhi University organizes Bani and Declamation Competitions. Nishi Banka got IInd prize, Prachi Tyagi grabbed IIrd prize and Ankita Arora & Sharanjeet Singh got consolation prizes in Bani and Declamation competiton held at Mata Sundari College.
Besides academics students are also made to participate in many co-curricular activities for the all round personality development . The school feels conceited when its name echo’s at Rajpath or when the students are awarded at National and State Level.
1 It is a pride for the school when it comes on Rajpath and we feel pompous to announce that our school has been participating in the Republic Day parade every year since 2001. This year also students participated as band Marchers and Flag Marcher in Republic Day.
2 Our students took part in Giddha Bhangra, Cycling, Band, Flag Marching and Clean Delhi Green Delhi campaign at State level and secured topped 3 positions.
3 This year at zonal level our students participated in Folk song, Giddha Bhangra, Folk Dance, Quawali, Patriotic Group Song, Solo Song, Fancy Dance, Declamation, Debate, Essay Writing, Poem Recitation, Mono Acting, Solo Dance and on the spot Slogan Writing Competition and that in almost all activities school got first position.
4 In sports and games too, students participate at various levels and bring laurels for the school. Names of few students whose performance is worth announcing. In Badminton Siddhant Sharma was awarded scholarship of Rs. 1200/- and a certificate by the Sports Authority of India. Ramandeep Kaur got Ist position in 200 m race and 2nd position in 400 m race Manveen Kaur and Ovaiz Khan stood third in shotput. Our school team got 2nd position in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Throw ball, table Tennis, Badminton, Cricket and Football. Arvinder Singh of Class XII C secured IIIrd position in Hammer Throw, Pavneet Singh of Class XII B Secured IIIrd position in Long Jump and Siddhant Sharma secured IInd position in Inter Zonal Level Badminton Competition.
